Reflective Questions to Consider

Before diving into the resources, take a moment to pause, reflect, and journal on where you are in your leadership journey right now. Here are three questions to help you think deeply about your transition:

  1. What kind of culture am I creating for my team?
    Are you fostering a culture of trust, collaboration, and growth—or one of competition and burnout?

  2. Am I truly listening to my team?
    When was the last time you asked for feedback—and really listened?

  3. How am I modeling the values I expect from my team?
    Leadership starts with you. Are you showing up the way you want your team to?

The Benefits of Writing Out Your Thoughts

When you put pen to paper or fingertips to keys, something shifts. Writing out your thoughts is more than an exercise—it’s a powerful tool for clarity, self-awareness, and growth. It slows the chaos of your mind, giving your ideas and emotions the space to breathe.

Writing vs. Typing

Research shows that writing by hand creates stronger neural connections in your brain, helping you process emotions, clarify thoughts, and solidify learning in ways typing simply can’t. 

 

Writing forces you to define what’s swirling around inside: the fears that hold you back, the dreams you’re afraid to speak aloud, and the patterns you’ve been stuck in. It’s a moment of honesty with yourself, a chance to name what matters and what no longer serves you. It’s not about being perfect—it’s about being real. And when you see your own words staring back at you, you begin to uncover your truth.
